Dear Valued Customers:
We would like to take this time to thank you for supporting our small family owned business of Bletsoe Cheese, Inc. over the past 35 years.
At this time we are having a very difficult time finding employees willing to work the hard labor that factory work requires, a Cheesemaker with no back up, aging equipment, a dairy industry currently in a vulnerable state, new state and FDA requirements causing cost increases in operations. It was always our philosophy to produce a quality product for our customers at a reasonable and fair price.
With that being said, after much thought and never-ending discussions it is with very heavy hearts that we regret to inform you; our customers, friends and neighbors that Bletsoe Cheese, Inc. will be closing their factory in the coming weeks to months.
At this time we will continue to distribute block cheese until we have run out of inventory. Cheese curds will be distributed until we honor contracts, then we will stop making altogether.
We again, would like to thank you for you patronage and support in the past and during this transition into this next chapter.

How It All Began
Quality cheese comes from fresh ingredients, attention to detail and recipes that are proven favorites. The Bletsoe's have earned a reputation for fresh and delicious cheeses since the 1930's - a reputation that continues today at their family owned cheese factory in Hamburg, Wisconsin.
3 generations have worked to perfect Bletsoe cheeses. Starting with founder Ken Bletsoe, who passed along his knowledge to his son David and daughter-in-law Bonnie, who in turn passed the accumulated years of wisdom to son Mark. Today both Bonnie and Mark are owners and licensed cheese makers carrying on the family tradition of excellence in every batch of cheese with the Bletsoe name.
We are proud that Bletsoe cheese is "hand-crafted," and our most automated system is our staff. Using the traditional method of making cheese may take longer, but it allows the Bletsoe's to apply experience to every aspect of the cheese making process for the best finished product.
